WENDY ANDERSON is a Lecturer in the department of English Language at Glasgow University, UK. Formerly, she was the researcher for the Scottish Corpus of Texts and Speech and Corpus of Modern Scottish Writing projects. She has published on corpus linguistics of English and French.
JOHN CORBETT is Full Professor of English Studies at the University of Macau. Formerly in the department of English Language at Glasgow University, UK, he directed the Scottish Corpus of Texts and Speech and the Corpus of Modern Scottish Writing. He is the co-author of Beginning Old English with Carole Hough (Palgrave, 2006) and has written widely on language and education.
