He has been a professional writer for 45 years as a journalist, book author, television scriptwriter, screenwriter, song writer, poet, magazine contributor, columnist and contributing editor for the Aspen Times. He has won awards from the Colorado Press Association, and his book, High Road to Aspen, won the Colorado Book Award's Gold Medal in June 2015.
