Prof. Dr. Peter E. Andersen is Senior Scientist and Research Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, where he leads the research within biomedical optics. Dr. Andersen has more than 15 years of research experience with light sources for biomedical optics and optical coherence tomography systems. Dr. Andersen has coordinated several European research programmes (FP6 and FP7). He has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications in the above-mentioned fields, respectively. Dr. Andersen is appointed Deputy Editor of Optics Letters and editorial board member of Journal of Biophotonics.
Prof. Paul Michael Petersen is Head of research at DTU Fotonik at the Technical University of Denmark. Prof. Petersen has more than 25 years of research experience in new diode light sources and he has headed several collaborative research projects. From 2001 until 2007 he was head of Laser Systems and Optical Materials at RisA? National Laboratory. Since 2002 he has been adjunct professor in Optics at the Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen University. P. M. Petersen has authored more than 130 international scientific publications and holds 12 patents. Prof. Paul Michael Petersen is the chairman of the Danish LED-network and chairman for Center for Biomedical Optics.
