Description
"Hang on and let Shadow Investigation immerse you in Florida's crime scene-boats, drugs, and money. A 5-star, page-flipping, helluva read!" -Cam Torrens, author of the Tyler Zahn mystery-suspense series
1987. A quiet stretch of the Gulf of Mexico. A chance encounter. And a brutal crime no one sees coming.
When a prominent surgeon and his wife vanish during a coastal voyage to Sanibel Island, their disappearance is written off as another tragedy at sea. But their daughter knows better.
Across the country in Los Angeles, DEA Agent Sam Dahl is comfortable but worn down by the routine seizing drug money from couriers moving through the daily chaos of LAX. Looking for something more, he reluctantly agrees to help a woman from his past find answers.
Under the guise of a long-overdue vacation, Sam heads to the Sunshine State where the favor quickly becomes something else.
With no authority and little experience in missing persons cases, Sam follows a trail through Florida's coastlines and quiet communities, where answers are scarce and nothing is as simple as it seems. As his official work and personal mission collide, he's pulled deeper into an investigation that turns more dangerous with every step.
Somewhere beneath the surface lies the truth about what happened on the water-and someone is counting on it staying hidden.
Shadow Investigation is a gripping crime novel grounded in real-world law enforcement experience, where the stakes are as personal as they are deadly.
