Rita Montgomery is a PI who's having a slow day when the phone rings. It's teen sensation Laurel Roberds' manager, offering Rita a whole lot of cash to be the teen's bodyguard. With mortgage and car payments looming, Rita says yes, and is thrust into the "emo," teenage slang for emotional, world of the teen superstar. In the span of a week, she goes from bodyguard to PI looking for the girl's stalker, who could be anybody to tell you the truth as 1) The girl's house is a stop on the Hollywood Celebrity Homes Tour and 2) Laurel's the kind of girl that everyone loves to hate.
