Abdullah Alfaiz is an expert advisor for Urban Policy at the Riyadh Municipality in Saudi Arabia. He holds a PhD in Urban Planning and Studies (Portland State University, USA) along with a Master's in Urban Studies, a Master's in Urban Planning, and a BS in Architectural Engineering. A multidisciplinary specialist with 45 years of experience spanning the fields of national policy, urban planning, architecture, and project management, Dr. Alfaiz focuses on smart concepts, technologies, and policy integration. His roles have included construction project manager, consultant for large-scale national planning and development projects, advisor for various organizations, lecturer at King Saud University, expert researcher at Prince Sultan University, and advisor to the Saudi Commission for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones.
