Description
This is an anthology of poems complemented by a collection of specially commssioned illustrations. The editors have tried to choose works which will appeal to young people, including a task section for all levels of ability. The poems are divided into five themes: If I didn't laugh I'd cry, Generations apart, What's it like out there? Nine ot five, Waiting for the bell. Each of the five themes is supported by works from different illustrators. There is also a choice of assignemnts - oral, languge and literature. Tasks and activities appropriate to all levels of ability are included together with suggestions for oral work and for performing poems. The book covers the requirements of all GCSE examining boards: LEAG, NEA, SEG, and MEG.
