This book is about mass transfer fundamentals, a prerequisite for the study of separation processes of chemical engineering. It covers the topics of: diffusion, mass transfer coefficients, mass transfer theories, analogies between the transport phenomena, mass transfer with chemical reaction, stage operations, continuous contact operations, humidification and dehumidifican,and absorption and desorption The topics are explained in a simple manner supported by examples to help the understanding. Each chapter concludes with exercises for the student to practise with. The book is mainly for students of chemical engineering and covers a two-semester course of three credit hours each.
