Description
Plastic was previously considered as a boon for humanity due to its versatility and its immense features increased its demand but it has side effects too. It is a serious threat to mankind, animals, and plants. Therefore, various efforts are in process to diminish its harmful impact. The use and production of plastic have histrionically augmented over the past 65 years. The ceaseless rise in use and production of synthetic plastic and its improper disposal have led to a terrific intensification. Its dumping into the environment creates the problem of plastic pollution. Plastic accumulation intimidates a broad range of ecosystems and gives damaging and adverse impact on several wildlife species. It is such an engrossing problem that it demands immediate mitigation and reduction methodology. The Government should also take initiatives and stimulate the researchers to work in this field so that they can find an alternative tool to this problem and minimize its harmful impacts.
