Kim Adams was born in Croydon, South London and brought up on a large council housing estate in New Addington. In her teenage and early twenties, while based in Greece, she travelled Europe and visited the USA many times. She returned at the age of twenty four to embark on her career in childcare, first nursery nursing, child protection, work with teenage parents, special needs, advocacy and guidance.
