A Spectrum of Innovation

This work reveals how the development of printmaking was interwoven with the history of American art and culture. Each of 100 colour plates - by artists including Mary Cassatt, James McNeill Whistler and Stuart Davis - is accompanied by the artist's biography and an informative discussion of the subject, style and technique of the work.
