Nicola Acocella, born in 1939, is Emeritus of Economic Policy at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza", Italy. His fields of specialisation include: welfare economics, theory of economic policy, policy games, monetary policy, macro-prudential policy, fiscal policy, European integration, globalisation, industrial organisation, labour markets and unions. Nicola is referee for various journals, publishing houses and international institutions. He has published more than 200 articles in highly-ranked journals and several books, which have been translated into English, Chinese, Polish, and Serb.
