At every step of civilization poverty was considered as social problem and Main definitions of poverty, however, generally focus on the scarcity of income and services for individuals and households. Thus the policies used to eradicate poverty generally dealt with economic solutions: They rarely look at the interaction between poverty and social phenomenon.The goal of the book is to discover the "new poverty" describing the developing countries and causes of its expansion, the correlation between poverty and consumerism and the ways of their alleviation. In this direction Iran as a focus area was chosen to giving more tangible evidence for investigating in these objectives and contribution to analyzing them.
