Writing from Quarantine

Writing from Quarantine: In the Words of Mighty Kids compiles outstanding poems, essays and journal entries of 30 Philadelphia students, ages 9 to 17, from March through June 2020. Assembled by Mighty Writers, a nonprofit organization that teaches kids to think and to write with clarity, the book reveals its diverse writers' diverse responses to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pivot to at-home schooling, and the Black Lives Matter protests following the deaths of George Floyd, Breona Taylor, Trayvon Martin and more African Americans. These Mighty Writers prove the power of words to bring people together to create a better world.
