The Future of Educational Research

External and internal pressures have combined to create a national and international debate about the future purpose and direction of educational research. A range of fundamental issues, including methodology, funding, quality control, cost effectiveness and the relationship between policy and practice have become the focus of intense scrutiny by practitioners, funding bodies, policy makers, academics, researchers and politicians.
