TransIt-TIGER: Authoring Shell (with Network Licence)

This is a hypertext-based authoring shell which enables teachers to input their own texts, hints and glossaries to create an Italian translation course using word processing and related tools. There is also a facility to provide two alternative translations for comparison with the learner's first attempt. Part of the "TransIt-TIGER" series, it requires an IBM PC or compatible, with Windows 3.0 or higher. This authoring shell disk was produced in association with the Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) Consortium which is designed to meet the needs of teachers and learners. Together, the TELL range of language resources aims to cover all aspects of conversation, grammar, phonetics, interpretation and translation.
