Description
This is elementary level of a four-level course for 13-15 year-olds. The course can be begun either at Starter Level (beginners/false beginners) or at Elementary Level (false beginners/elementary), before moving on to the third, pre-intermediate level. The topics and issues in the course are designed to appeal to older teenagers and have a real-life international flavour. There is a photographic storyline based in and around Brighton and an international documentary focus. The course features strong emphasis on grammar, combined with many activities designed to improve communicative competence. Additionally, there is language training and self-evaluation and steady language progression with thorough recycling. Finally, the workbooks feature mixed ability exercises, and the teacher's books, help for teaching mixed ability classes.
