The Nelson First Certificate

This course prepares students for the Cambridge First Certificate examination. The 20 topic-based units feature a variety of texts taken from a large range of sources including newspapers, magazines and books. Regular progress texts in the exam format help students become familiar with the exam. The grammar notes in the course are linked to exercises and give clear, succinct explanations on areas which cause students most confusion. Varied writing tasks provide guidance on content, organization and exam technique. Work on phrasal verbs is also included in the "English in Use" sections.
