DS Glyn Capaldi is in hospital recuperating from a car crash. His passenger, a woman whom he was bringing in for questioning, is dead. Was it truly an accident? What could a young woman have possibly done to warrant such retribution?
Glyn explores these questions, and, in doing so, unveils a conspiracy of arson, torture, blackmail, and a clutter of bodies that further muddy the already murky waters.
