Later she trained as an archaeologist, originally studying at the University of London, Institute of Archaeology and working on excavations in Great Britain and the Middle East. On her return from two years work and research in Turkey she imported an ancient breed of Turkish dogs - now known in the United Kingdom as Anatolian Karabash.
