Description
This course has been designed to prepare undergraduate science and engineering students who are studying French for a period of study in France and for career mobility in Europe. It focuses on oral fluency, essential forms of writing and comprehension skills, and prepares students for the types of professional and academic contexts in which they will be likely to use the language. This audio-visual resource pack includes the video extracts used in the "Travaux pratiques" sections of the course, an audio cassette and a teacher's guide which comprises timetabling ideas, model exams, transcripts to recorded material and answers. Video extracts for "Niveau 1" cover a variety of science topics as well as looking into university life in France. The "Niveau 2" video takes students into areas of advanced science and includes six films produced by the French Centre National de Recherche Scientifique.
