Atul Kumar Upadhyay is a scholar in the field of Environmental science. He has completed his PhD in the field of phytoremediation and constructed wetland technology from CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow jointly with Kumaun University, Nainital, India. He has conceded his post-graduation degree from Dr. RML Avadh University, Faizabad, India in the subject of Botany. Dr. Upadhyay did his keen research in construction and designing of wetland and plant based management of different water and soil pollution in different states of India and involve in different activities related to river water rejuvenation, waste water treatment, wetland designing and soil management and pollution control. During his research, Dr. Upadhyay has published a number of research paper, articles and chapters in the peer reviewed journal of National and International repute. he has also published one author book, edited two book from Springer. Currently, Atul Kumar Upadhyay is working as a Post-doctoral fellow (UGC-DSKPDF) in the department of Environmental Science, BBAU (a central university), Lucknow, India and involve in working on the different aspect of algal based sustainable phytoremediation, biofuel and bioenergy production.
Prof. D.P. Singh, currently the Ex- Head and Dean, School for Environmental Sciences, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India, is an eminent scholar in the field of Environmental Science. He obtained his PhD from Department of Botany, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He has worked extensively in the area of wastewater treatment, microbiology, stress physiology, bioremediation and alternative energy options. He has received several honors and awards to his credit, including more than135 research publications in high impact factor journals of national and international repute. He has supervised more than 24 Ph.D. students and several M Sc and M Tech students for their research work. He has delivered invited lectures in different seminars and symposia and served as a principal investigator for several governments funded projects. Dr. Singh has published five books in the field of Environmental microbiology and Biotechnology, Stress Physiology and Sustainable Management of Soil and water and edited more than 10 book of scientific background from Springer, Elsevier, CRC etc.
