A Multimodal Study of Sarcasm in Interactional Humor

This book examines the different techniques used to achieve humor in interaction in two contemporary American television-series (House M.D. and The Big Bang Theory). Through different techniques, the book observes the elements that are used in the process of humorous meaning construction, focusing mainly on the gestural triggers used to create humorous effects.
