The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) has been the official patron of the Annual Report on the Results of Treatment in Gynaecological Cancer since 1958, and Volume 23, the 1997 report, marks the 60th anniversary of the endeavour. Over 100 international tumour institutions and hospitals have made material available for collation and presentation, and data and comments from each tumour site (cervix, corpus, ovary, fallopian tube, vulva and vagina, as well as gestational trophoblastic diseases) are presented. The book also includes information and instructions for the staging and results of treatment for all gynaecological sites, and closes with a Consensus Statement on Gynaecological Cancers edited by the FIGO Committee on Gynaecological Oncology.
