Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

It was built between 1817 and 1828 by order of the Prussian King Frederick William III, has never been destroyed and is therefore largely preserved in its original state.As the most modern fortress of its time, it combines the complex functionality of 'neo-Prussian fortress style' with aesthetic design elements, particularly in the classicist style.
