Dedicated to inorganic systems in superacidic media, this work covers various groups of inorganic cations and considers the generation and stability of that group in all four of the superacids HF, HSO3F, CF3SO3H and H2SO4, as well as in chloroaluminate. Where possible, it also considers the behaviour of these cations in aqueous solution. The general aim of the book is to demonstrate that solute speciation depends on the acidity or basicity of non-aqueous media as for water.
