He is a physics teacher, a coordinator of science and education at the Catalan Scientific Communication Association, a board member of the Catalan Meteorology Service, and the general secretary of the Catalan Meteorological Observers' Association. He is the author of several scientific books and articles and has carried out research work in the field of atmospheric physics. Marcel Costa is a biologist and science teacher and the author and coauthor of scientific books and articles. He is an active member the Catalan Meteorological Observers' Association and has given various courses and lectures on meteorology and climatology aimed at both education professionals and the general public.
