The Santa Barbara Channel holds a closely guarded secret…
She needed his help…
Corporate physician, Dr. Libra Lewis thinks she knows what is making the males of the Shore Shifters turn violent, but she needs funding for the research, lots of money that hinges on the approval of field ops leader, Rye Walker. When one of Rye's operatives goes missing, Libra offers to barter her help for the money. But can a woman who's spent her life in the shadow of her sexy sister really work with a man like Rye?
He needed a second chance…
Rye Walker's last mission as the leader of field ops was cut short by scandal and when no one stepped forward to support him, he resolved that in the future, he'd always go it alone. Now Rye has been reinstated, another chance to prove himself -without help from anyone. But Libra has something he needs… and if Rye is honest, he's finding Libra harder and harder to resist.
Save Blue Water's beautiful and dedicated Dr. Libra Lewis is determined to find out what is causing increased aggression among the field ops shore shifters in Dangerous Tide: Dolphin Shore Shifters Book Three by C.J. Matthew. That puts Libra in direct contact with the handsome, virile new head of the department, Rye Walker. The action becomes intense as Libra and other board members argue about some expensive new equipment to help her study the hormone levels of the male dolphins in their human forms. To push her point, Libra agrees to help Rye, who like all dolphins has a phobia, fly from headquarters in Santa Barbara, California to Galveston, Texas where one of the field ops team members has disappeared. The two become embroiled in more than an illegal ocean dumping scheme that threatens the life of the missing agent and puts both Libra and Rye in the cross-hairs of a ruthless killer. Even with the help of another field ops team and a close connection with a local doctor at the hospital, will Rye and Libra get to the bottom of the mystery, not to mention come to terms with the increasingly intense emotions they share, without losing their lives?
Dolphin Shore Shifters Book Three, Dangerous Tide by C.J. Matthew is an excellent continuation of the stories involving the work of a very public organization hiding an amazing secret. The characters are extremely well developed with a depth of emotions and physical abilities, and the action is intense as they fight their own demons to work together to not only solve a crime, but to save their lives. Realistic dialogue, just the right amount of vulnerability, and terrific sex scenes keep the pages turning as you fight the clock along with the heroes to see how everything is going to turn out. The story line stays strong in this third volume and leads you eagerly back to the book store for the next installment. I really enjoyed it and was thrilled when I got to the end and saw that there are actually two more volumes! I have become invested in the SBW mission and the happiness of the team!
