Contemporary and accessible, Inside Canadian Politics provides a fresh perspective on the institutions and issues at the heart of our political system. This text explores key concepts and topics in Canadian politics from federalism, regionalism, Indigeneity, and diversity, to the party system, media and political communication, and elections. Each chapter invites students to debate and discuss the effectiveness of government mechanisms in the daily lives of
Canadians. This new edition has been fully updated to include the political realities of Canada today, including discussion of fake news, the effects of social media on democracy, issues surrounding resource development and climate change, and the renegotiation of crucial trade agreements.
